When I drive for a while and things get warm, the car seems to putter a bit like it's not getting enough fuel. The CEL light will then start a cycle of turning on and off. The puttering only happens when the CEL is on, everything is fine when it's off. I checked codes and got a 111 on both KOEO and KOER. I tried a cylinder balance test, and it started it, but about half way through, the car almost seemed to stall, but then it brought itself back, and it did not continue the test..almost like when you pull the paperclip from the connections type of stall.

Any ideas?

I just went back out there, and fired it up, and inspected the egr system...everything seems ok, but I do hear a top end tapping sound. It sounds like it's might be coming from the injector rail..it started raining before I got a chance to put a screwdriver up to it.

yeah my first guess is a clog or a bad injector. during the test it will die down but im sure you know that, but if its real close to almost stalling thats not right.... check injector and rail id inspect all that first.
that was my first thought before you mentioned about it.
its a possibility that maybe a valve is sticking but i really doubt that

So it stopped raining, and I went out for a drive this morning. Got to where the CEL came on again, and it felt like it was bogging. Got home, and ran codes yet again. 111 in both KOEO and KOER, but it showed a 1 and a 3 in the cylinder balance test. Pulled the wires and they were bone dry. Plugs looked good too. So, could this be a DIS or coilpack issue?

P.S. Oil is nice and clean, and coolant is still a nice green color.

It's my coil pack. I need a new one. Something is loose in there and it made a weird knocking noise. Yes, a knocking noise from the CP.
