so I've got a 2015 PP with just a little over 102k on the odometer and my extended warranty runs out at the end of July

always changed oil with high quality synthetic evry 5k (sometimes sooner)
drained & filled the trans fluid a few times as well as brake fluid flush & coolant flush once each as well as rear diff oil

probably needs a new serpentine belt & tensioner, turned or new front rotors as well as pads, maybe some front suspension bits too
will definitely do all the fluids again

rear toe link recall is another item

it's never had the PTU oil changed, couldn't find a dealer willing to do it (lifetime gear oil B.S.)

should I keep her and put $$$ in for maintenance and upgrades (finally a tune with an SCT X4 & maybe an intercooler)
or bail with the worry of water pump, cam phasers & timing chain tensioners etc.

Love driving this SHO & I drive it hard, would definitely miss her except for the poor MPGs from my heavy RIGHT foot

That's a tough call. You will get top dollar now for used vehicles. Unfortunately you will pay top dollar for any other vehicle you buy unless you find a great deal. I would keep it and get proper maintenance... But I like pain. Really no right or wrong answer. This is your best guesstimate. If you keep it get a PTU drain setup and DIY (like I said I like pain). Good luck

I'd suggest keeping it. Where I'm at the tax alone on a $20K car would be $1500. My first car I drove til 169K plus miles and never had to put a dime into it other than oil changes. Throw that car payment money in the bank and stack up the money until you find something that you just can't pass up.

My 2015 SHO with 90K has gone up $2k in the last 30 days. Currently Credit Karma is valuing it at $17,075 (they use J.D. Power for their estimates).

Used car prices are stupid right now due to the shortage of new vehicles. The other part of the equation that has not yet been mentioned is what would you replace it with? There are relatively few choices in the sedan category now and what there are available are pretty expensive. So I would lean toward keeping it, fixing what needs fixed, and enjoying it a while longer.

National inventory is at an all time low. Parts for new vehicles are tied up in supply chain backlog and a bunch of other pandemic related factors. THis is one of the best times to sell a vehicle or a house. It will pop eventually. I am seeing medical gloves and other supplies start to dry up in supply also. Lots of weird individual market supply fluxuations.

If you have to ask than probably not! I believe Jordan started his journey with a 100k mile car and put 40k hard miles on it. These cars can take a decent beating if maintained.

Yes, get the drain plugs so you don’t have to pay $200 every time to change the rdu and ptu. Or just pay the $200 ~it’s all perspective. If your PTU is still going than odds are it will be fine if you start changing the oil on it. The more you beat on it the more frequent you will want to change oil, transmission oil, ptu/rdu. I have put about 20k miles on my tune with many hard pulls with no issues yet. I change my engine oil with 5w40 every month. Trans, ptu, rdu, coolant every other month. For reference I’m probably pushing 550-560whp but I’m not totally sure just going off average time/weight.

With all that said, I sort of expect something to go at any time but haven’t seen any signs of it yet though.

Had the same discussion with myself and later with a friend about same topic. I'm the 2nd owner, purchased at ~13K, and just hit 161K.

Since it has been paid off so long and still runs well I'm just going to run her as long as I can. Since I'm not beating it up daily but still often, just doing routine maintenance should get me into the 200K club soon.

Just left mechanic who did a complete inspection of the steering, suspension, and etc said he say no issues and to just get an alignment after some adjustments were made.

Sell it and get a 2013 Alpina B7. You should be able to find one in the mid-20s with 60-70 miles. The 2013 has revised valve stems.
