Does anyone have any pictures of what the signal test output looks like. I think I found it but I'm not sure. Also, the EEC tester has a cover on it with a wire connected to it. The SHOtimes directions say to take off the cover but doesn't that wire do something?

Back in Michigan ... again.
The SHOtimes article & diagram can be a little confusing...I keep meaning to do a better one but never seem to have the time :(

Anyway, the eec port does have a cover on it...that's normal. There are TWO separate plugs you need...the main eec port which is pictured on SHOtimes, and the other plug you need is the STI, or signal test input...that's the other, smaller plug with a single port and single wire. It's NOT pictured on SHOtimes...it's found right with the main EEC plug, in fact that's probably the wire you're talking about in your post. The cover snaps off both the main EEC plug and the STI plug. FYI the STI plug is usually grey in color.

Once you have both the EEC plug and the STI plug, just run a jumper wire from the SIGNAL RETURN pin to the STI, which is the second, smaller plug. This is where SHOtimes gets confusing, because they don't label or show the STI plug...just ignore the fuel pump and STO pin, the only pin you need on the EEC plug is the signal return pin, just run a wire from that to the STI pin on the other plug and you're ready to rock.

Thanks! That makes so much more sense now. The wire that is attached to the cover is the STI plug but from reading the SHOtimes directions I didn't know that. If I were you then I would add that into the current SHOtimes directions because it makes a lot more sense.
