how the **** do you get the bolt out of the front of the Alternator...I've got the long bolt out of the back (closest to the tension pulley), and I've gotten the one on the front thats on the right hand side if you are looking at the alternator from the front bumper...anyone have any clue? I've tried socket wrenches and straight box wrenches and nothing has room to turn! special tool???

I used a 1/4 in pear head ratchet w/ an extension attached to the handle for leverage to break it loose, then a wrench / fingers the rest of the way. And you are right, it is a pain.

When I had to replace my alternator on my 91, I had to get creative. I ended up heating up the wrench and bending it into a 90 degree angle. Good 'ole map gas. :)
