I have had this problem for quite a while, and I figured it was possibly a dirty MAF sensor, so I put it off until I put my 80mm with the new sensor on, but it is still doing it! It really only does it when I am at WOT and leaves a black residue on the chrome exhaust tips. What causes it? I have literally had the engine torn apart by the best, and this still frustrates and embarrasses me... thoughts???

I have the same problem and it would be cool if someone could figure out what this is.

Mine does it any time you get on the gas, even if it's just a little bit, when you get on it fast, or rev it up it'll puff a little, the more i get on it or rev it the more it will smoke, but after the secondaries open up, it stops. So it's only rich in the low rpms with me.

Thanks guys. It really happens at WOT and otherwise the car purrs nicely, and there isn't any power drop when it happens, so I guess I will remove this as a problem and chock it up as normal.
