Ok, thread got hijacked by computer guys o_O
Last Friday got the seals replaced, went ahead and replaced both as it made sense to do so. Parts were about $80 CAD and $190 CAD in labor including replacing the oil in the PTU and sway bar links (could have done it myself but got lazy).
I work about 30 min from home in a small town with about 25,000 people. There is a Ford dealership there, went thinking I would have to order the parts and to my surprise they had them in stock... guy said it was because these parts are common among various models but realistically it is because they fail often.

So far so good, no oil in my garage.
Thanks again to those who helped.
Here are pics of the parts:

So does it reek of gear oil through the vents at a stoplight? Ford didn't clean any of it up on mine- it was leaking out the back seal and had got all down in the cross member. Had to put it on ramps and go after it with de-greaser and a hose.

Mine smelled for a couple of days, I guess it was from the mechanic touching the exhaust with dirty gloves. It's fine now.
