Greetings,

What is the proper method of draining all of the fluid from my cooling system? I want to do a 100% flush, but I cannot locate any drain ****. Just whip off one of the hoses?

With a garden hose in the radiator fill neck, I can't remove the lower hose, as the water would only drain directly from the radiator to the ground, and never get in the motor. Also, motor would quickly overheat. Can't remove other upper hose, as radiator would not get flushed, and cold hose water keeps slapping the thermostat shut. Plain water would also soon boil inside motor.

There has to be a better way.

There are two drain plugs in the block, front is between the oil filter and exhaust manifold. Rear is in plain site. Both are 14mm brass. Pull both of those out, remove thermostat, any water you squirt into the thermostat hole comes out those two plugs. Makes a big mess!!!

Use distilled water to mix with the antifreeze. It's a few extra dollars but atleast you dont put all the crap that's in tap water into your cooling system.
