Well I started taking my car apart to black most things out. I went down to Mass the other day and checked out Kirk's (SHODWN) car out in person. The color matching on his car looks great. So when I got back home I started removing the Ford Spear on the trunk and the chrome side vents. I will be dropping them off to Kirk today to have his guy color match them to my car.
The day I bought the car I pulled all the emblems off the trunk and new I would ****** her out in time. Since I had the spear off I figured it was time to tint the tail lights. So in the black out theme and wanting to get rid of the chrome on the edges of the lights I made a trip to the local Ford dealership.
After a little talking with the they let me bring a regular Taurus home and swap out the lights for my sho ones. While I was at it I swaped out the silver bezels that go around the front corner lights for the Taurus textured black ones. Brought the taurus back to the dealer and they were more than happy so it all worked out great.
Anyway I also got the taillights tinted last night and back into the car.
On to the pics.....

Yeah, the calipers need something. I haven't looked at them lately, but noticed they are oxidizing or getting white. Wonder if that caliper paint that Eastwood has would keep them looking nice and black.

That stuff works great. We use it at the custom shop. The only thing is make sure the base metal is nice and clean. I usually use a scuff pad and wax and grease remover before paint.

I like both names! But the "project" in front has to go.. Maybe its a black car thing? We all know Red cars are faster than black and they need the help to draw attention.. LMAO. :laugh_ti:

It's called "more pistons"

I'm surprised Kirk hasn't but a GT500 kit on his yet.

actually that has yet to be proven ;)

Its like taxes man, wait for it because you know its coming. 1/4 mile is fun but to measure a true fast car is to add corners. I have no doubt that when I find you on a road course that there will be yellow fluid coming from center left of your car.

Ill be the one eating doritios with one hand and waving with the other.
