So when i bought the car everything worked fine and randomly one day when I went to connect to blue tooth my sync wasnt working I cant connect my phone to music what so ever not even through the aux. And when I go to use device it says connection error see dealer the only thing that I can use is the radio Sirius cd and juke box

Others have told me to unplug the battery or check the fuse but all of that seems to be fine at one point I even unplugged my radio (it was for other reasons)

It's been a couple months since this happened and the only other thing that happened is theres constantly a battery light on my dash that I cant get rid of and I've tested both my alternator and battery and they are fine so if anyone knows anything about that as well it would be helpful thankyou

Obviously my best bet is to take it to the dealer but I was just curious to see if anyone on here might know what it could be?

I have a 2012 and I can say that Sync 1 SUCKS. I've had plenty of random Bluetooth issues. The phone connects and appears to play music or make calls but no volume. I've tried everything and the only fix I could find was to reboot the radio. If you don't have the option for that (I didn't at first) you may need to update the software to enable it.

As for your battery light, if everything checks out (battery, alternator, starter) I'm honestly not sure what else to check aside from the wiring. You won't fail an inspection for a battery light. Mine has been on for about 5 years in my 05 F150. I've chanted the alternator and battery since its been on. She cranks and runs without fail but the light remains.

In my 2010 SHO and my current work car I have had the issue with both systems and Androids/iPhones. Rebooting the system worked for me.

Our alternators communicate with the P.C.M. it there is a fault with the communication circuits or the alternator doesnt do what the pcm wants it will set a code and or turn on the batterexcited. If you pull d.t.c.s it will start you in the right direction as to why the battery light is on.

As a fail safe, the alternator will start charging at a default 13.5 volts once engine r.p.m. reach a threshold and the alternator self excites.

You can try a master reset through the sync touchscreen to see if that helps. Does AM/FM work properly?

Okay thankyou

Yes am/FM work just fine. How do you do a master reset?

I keep an eye on my voltage on my tuner. My alternator keeps my battery close/at 15 volts while driving. And AM/FM always works for me. Just occasionally Bluetooth has no volume.

Settings in the sync screen/display. It clears all paired devises to sync and resets the system. Worth a try along with restarting your phone. Afterwards, delete the car from your bluetooth pairings in the phone and start again.
