Well guys, my 89 MTX is finally back in fighting form! The FPR was the cause, which was quite a battle to figure out!If you want all the gory details check this topic:

http://www.shoforum.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=17;t=007348#000001

I installed the new FPR today (getting one in Canada is a real b****! cuss ) in less than 2 hours (had to remove the intake) and took her for a test drive.

All I can say is WOW!!! SHO-Fast!!! :D I can never remember my car being this responsive and quick! It should be fast after all those new parts I bolted onto the poor thing in the last month!

The only problem is that I got an offer I couldn't refuse and she is SOLD! The new owner picks her up the first week of July! cry I suppose it's for the best as the old girl has 270,000kms on her. But Damn if it isn't a nice car when you get it running right! Such is life, and I will be checking in as often as I can to this forum as there are some great guys\girls here!

Much thanks to SDPATT and RANGERJ for all their help! Keep up the good work guys! Also thanks to the Admins and Moderators on this forum for keeping it running.

PS: I have an extra complete IAB, and funcional Cam Position Sensor that I will sell for cheap if anyone is interested. They work fine, but both were replaced with new parts in the hunt for ongoing problem with the SHO. Now that the NEW parts are USED parts I can't return them to the store, so they go with the car and I get to try and sell the others.

Drop me an e-mail or PM me if you are interested. Just make me an offer, I can't use em anymore!

Later!

Hey what about me?? shrug I said
Personally though - if your fuel presure is as low as you stated (even with the vacuum hose connected) - I would suspect the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator. With out enough pressure in the rail the car will run like crap not to mention the fuel can boil causing vapor lock.
I'm j/k of course - Glad to see you got it running good. Hope it went to someone who knows what A SHO is..

Terry, I have never seen that beer til I came here. In fact, I picked up a 12-pack today(wasn't for me though).

That's right, you're 21 now. Well we'll have to hit a few bars when you get back beer
