Just out of curiosity has anyone with the PPE catted downpipes, removed the heat shield from the factory catalytic convertor and used it on the PPE cats? Would that be possible, it looks like it could work, just another option for those concerned about cat heat, and did not have the cash to pay for coatings, or was worried about wrapping the cats.

Heat shields on stock cats are basically metal strapped to them and wouldn't work the same. Could you make something up? Sure but imo not worth the hair. PPE pipes are stainless. Just wrap them they aren't going to rust apart in a year.

Not worried about the rust, I know they are 304ss. Just heat management, since the passenger is by the PTU.
