personally i would not do it. i had installed them on our fusion, they looked great, but did not last nearly as long as oem calipers. if anything find a rebuilder that can upgrade oem calipers or switch to pp calipers. i think ford moved to plastic pistons instead of metal as MYs progressed for the PP calipers, sadly, about the only negative i can think of.

if you really want to upgrade and are willing to spend, there is a newer kit a fellow sho owner has developed. contact him directly for details.

search these forums, I believe @SHOdded as well as others have complained about their aftermarket calipers.

I used powerstop drilled and slotted rotors with their top cop pads...
DON'T
I went to the track with them the next day, and in 2 hours of track driving, I was metal on metal

But if you want the best of the best, look on this forum for the wilwood caliper kit, expensive as frig, but high friction pads are available for those of us on the track

Edit: heres the thread where I got all my questions answered about getting a MASSIVE upgrade to the brakes

I would also go with R1Concepts @yaycandy endorses them, and they are sitting in my basket.

Powerstop has gone downhill. I got a full set for my crown vic going back about 12 years now and the rotors survived a lot of abuse as the car changed hands and changed hats, I drove it like a 4 door mustang, next owner delivered newspapers 7 days a week and abused the car relentlessly (never sell to family), final owner used it as a truck for towing still had the drilled and slotteds behind the wheels, the pads lasted about 2 years with 1 year as delivery driving, not bad for a cheap brake set from Amazon.

Fast forward to last year, I bought power stop pads for my SHO expecting a similar experience, I went with the "PI" brakes they sell and they were problematic from day 1 and now need to be replaced less than 10 months in and I replaced both front calipers with oem. I too would stay away, they used to be a solid option but it would seem they've lost their way. Definitely going to give R1 concepts a go when I do my brakes this winter if I can make it that long.

R1 are the best rotors for the price and dont warp with the our heavy cars. I currently run motorcraft pp pads. But ebc yellow stuff has good bite and dont need to heat up like most other track pads. So they work well on the street or DD, i never had them installed long to notice dust.
