ok kids and kiddys, i goes like this
just got a 93 sho with a ATX (so its a 3.2L)
and the pump is either dead or the pully is shot
but which ever it is, its a pain in the *** :p
the steering is VERY stiff and i makes a **** of an ugly noise when she starts and the tires are turned
soooo...can a MTX power steering pump from a 89 SHO fit on to a 93 ATX?
cause i have a 89 pump i can have but i dont know (with the diffrences between the engines and all) if it will fit

Yes, it will fit. Is the system full of fluid now? You might have an issue with the rack also, from the sound of it.

Not that I've heard... I had to remove the wheel and the rear engine mount - then drop the engine a few inches to get mine out. It's a pain, but definitely do-able. Good luck.

In the MTX, it's a pain and can take many hours. The ATX is much easier as the engine is pushed forward more. Took 3 hours to just get out of the MTX, and about an hour take take mine out, and put the other one in.
