Well we put the car back to mostly stock , for now we are running a stock intake and stock MAF with no LPM, it seems to be more snappy and responsive on the street but untill i see a trap speed i cant be sure if its better or worse, we think the LPM may have been the problem, i will swap in the LPM and 80mm MAF after 2 passes and see if its better or worse.

Why don't you just tune the car with the mods?

you never replied to my pm about the 93, and what is a sct chip? i just got back from the body shop bandito goes in 3 weeks to get the bumpers striped and redone along with the hood and grill, after that i will be ready to go after some more power. i eventually want to go with boost but being that i get nitrous at super cheap prices i may just go with a zex kit for a while.

The Area51 guy said he's buying the 93, isn't he part of your shop?

The SCT chip is the same as the LPM. The rest of the world calls them chips, only you SHO guys call them LPMs :D.

2 Years in Phoenix AZ....:nut:
I remembered when I lived in Phoenix with my parents while in high school. During the summer I would wake up around noon and around 1pm, I would attmept to go out to check the mail. I would open then door and the blast of hot air litterally reminded me of opening the oven. I would shut the door and go back inside to get the mail later in the evening.

That's exactly how I would describe it to people when they would ask me.:rofl:

well after switching to a stock intake and MAF and pulling the LPM the car went 89.9 MPH ( it went 91 on a good night with LPM and 80mm MAF ) on a very muggy humid day, either way its still pretty weak compared to other healthy 3.0s we did a compression test and the front bank all had around 220 or so while the ones in the rear was as low as 180, while 180 is a good number on most engines i dont like to see such a wide spread from highest to lowest, so i bought a 3.2 at carlisle and in a month or 2 will get it rebuilt and installed. this should end the sub par power problem once and for all :)

NOt........Texas is one of the most humid states even though it rains very little most of the summer;

Huh? The past 2 or 3 weeks, I don't remember too many days of sunshine, it was like it was raining non-stop. Just when I thought it was over, it rained again today! :nut:

Well, it's good that Bandito's problem was found. When Karson sells a car, they seem to become problems when they leave his hands, right Karson? Just messin' with ya! :rofl:

truthfully karson wouldnt have known there was a problem as he didnt race it, 91 MPH in the 1/4 is still a peppy SHO, but its all over now, as we speak banditos new engine is being built, a nice PA SHO shop 3.2, its safe to say the subpar problems are over ;)

Dang I just read that. That kinda hurt my feelings a bit till i read the just messin with ya part. Ive bought and sold lots of cars in the past.... everyone here knows that. But with every car ive owned i took great pride in it and advertised it accordingly. Ive only had one buyer come back to haunt me and that was brett with greenbean. Still to this day, greenbean was the most reliable car ive owned hands down and he just ran it into the ground.

I always thought bandito was strong but i live about 100 miles from any other sho guys so i never raced it against any other shos. Here in waco no body even knew what the car was. I attempted to participate in some track events but between a wedding and crap always coming up i never made an event. I never ran any 1/4 miles with it either. My 89 i sold to Cosmosho felt stronger but i attributed it to the fact that it was lighter and that car seemed to be a bit of a freak. Cosmo even commented on how strong it was. I never tore into bandito other than to put rodbearings in it. I did the valve lash too but aside from that i went off what the previous owner told me on the timing belt and such and just never looked. I was shocked that it was off because the car ran great. I remember going on a trip in that car and driving nearly 700 miles in one day. It was a great experience. Looking back it makes me miss the car. I regret selling it now because im looking at 4 doors again. I can buy a lincoln ls with the sport package and install a paddle shifter kit on it but thats not the same as oll bandito.
