I understood that. but the motor doesn't push the mast up and never did since I bought the car, it was frozen in up position. You can hear the motor turning to push it up and turning to retract it, but it never moves/d. So...judging from what I read, the plastic snake was broken off a long time ago. The confusing thing to me is that every one describes pulling it out, well, as you saw, it won't pull out. The nut you taught me about is out. I tried in what would be the motor up and the motor down and as in the vid. the shaft wont' pull out. It acts like there is a nut holding it on the inside, but no one describes such a thing. It may be just "time welded" after who knows, ten or more years . If we...when we..have spring. I'll have to take out the wheel well plastics and take off the motor and then I'll see why the **** it won't "pull out" like everyone describes it doing. I might go down in the shaft well with a hook pic kinda tool and see if I can scrape off crud that is perhaps holding something, But again , in the vid you can see what looks like a brass ring at the bottom of the shaft, I'm guessing that that is just damn stuck in the after too much time. I'll try again with the PB again when the snow storm ends here. We're supposed to get snow all day tomorrow. Thanks for your ideas and replies...
The more I think about it, I think I just gotta add more PB and keep working it up and down...maybe get a thin screw driver and knock around at the bottom to break it loose. I'm thinking it just need more pulling, working it, it will turn 360 with no resistance to speak of, so I think now, that the sleeve around the staff is just time welded to the inner diameter of where if goes through that grey aluminum piece comin through the body ***.
