POSTPONED - TSHOC meet

Anyway yeah we're not really going to get much. They don't expect enough snow to really measure (even in the mountains) and it'll blow through in a few hours. But there will be a winter weather advisory for most of the state from noon to midnight on Friday and the roads WILL be slick and there will almost definitely be black ice Saturday morning. Which brings me back to my point-- be careful coming down to our house. If you total your car or yourself we won't really be able to help. There uh...isn't really a hospital nearby. There is an Advance Auto though.

The problem in NC is that they aren't equipped to handle bad weather like northern areas are. The snow isn't the bad thing though, it's the ice that really messes things up. The issue I'm concerned about is that they are talking about things continuing into Friday night and early Saturday morning. I'm up near the NC/VA border and it looks like we are going to be seeing a lot of the ice. With my back condition, the one thing I can afford is slipping and falling on ice. Seriously, I might not get up. I'll be in contact Saturday morning on what my plans will be.

Right now, 22 degrees, sleeting, evrything is getting a coating of ice. Gonna have to see what the morning brings!

Alright all- here's the update. The roads were salted pre-ice so the main roads are ok although the colder it gets the worse they will be (obviously). The precipitation should stop around 8 or 9 tonight. The concern is that during everyone's travel tomorrow morning the temperatures will still be below freezing.

We have about an eighth of an inch of ice right now. Anyone that wants to come we will be glad to have you but PLEASE be careful.

Ok I lied- it's supposed to end by around 6 p.m. But the rest is true- sub-freezing temps will make everything slick so be careful but if you do end up here we promise to feed you.

Ok guys, the Roads have nearly a inch of on them. We have also had a few mishaps today with some of the people coming. I don't want folks getting hurt in light of a SHO meet. This is meet is POSTPONED. It will either happen next weekend, or the weekend after. stay tuned.

Um, yeah. I think the meet was like last weekend. Think you're a few days behind bro. Normally there are lots of pics, but two of the camera people didn't attend this one. But I can't speak for Ashley. She's normally on top of things when it comes to photos.
