Ive got Stock Head unit, Stock front speakers, 130w pionner 5x7 in the rear, 2- 10'' depth charge, w/ a 400w planet Audio amp.
it pleases me very well, if i have the amp turned all the way up, before distortion, which is basically: 95mv- +17 BB- 100 LP. I could turn up the LP (Low Pass) and turn down everything else and have great sound at lower volume, then, i could turn the LP down to about 60, and crank up the mv to 100, and the BB to about 22. then that thing will bump hard! I have the speakers brigged, so its pushing all 400watts. when i did this, it was almost like night and day, at some settings....
and thats mine :thumb:

hmm..audio specs?

i have a panasonic HU..8300 or something along those lines..does the whole mp3/wma thing, 25wattsRMS per channel. front and rear preouts, sub out, cd changer control, sirius ready.

Infinity reference speakers all the way around..bought on sale at circuit city and got all 4 installed for the price of getting the front door speakers put in.

Sometimes run the stock jbl 4 channel amp, but currently i'm not.

Have a JBL CS200.1 amp rated at 236watts RMS at 4ohms powering an 8inch polk momo sub in the stock sealed enclosure..really puts out for 8 inches :naughty:

Rockford fosgate wiring..8guage power running to a crappy old battery and twisted pair interconnects running up the other side of the car to the HU.

So far i'm more then pleased and so are pedestrians that walk by my car when i'm stopped at a light

Headunit:
Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP
Front Speakers:
MB Quart PCE 210 4" components with PCE 164 6.5" Mid-bass kit to make it a 3 way component set (6.5" in door, 4" in dash, tweeters behind side mirrors)
Rear Speakers:
Dynaudio System 340 3-way components in a custom bracket, I retrofitted a gen2 rear deck lid to fit my 89. (I used the dip from the gen 1 rear glovebox to hold the crossovers for the dynaudio's. 7" woofer, 3" softdome midrange and 1" soft dome tweeter)
Subwoofers:
(2) 12" Rockford Fosgate DVC subs (old school)
Amplifiers:
Mcintosh MC440 6 channel, 50x4 + 100x2. 50x4 channels are bridged into 200x2 @ 4 ohms for Dynaudio's in back, 100x2 @ 4 ohms is running a 2 ohm configuration (mb quart premium crossovers allow this) so the Mb's get 200x2 @ 2 ohm up front. Basically 200 watts to every corner in the car.
Hifonics Z1000D 1000 watt into 1 ohm (DVC on subs are wired in parallel for 2 ohm load, which are then wired together in parallel for a 1 ohm load).

Soon to come (at some point):
Retrofit a gen 2 130 amp alternator (200 amp upgrade) to my 89.
Replace the rockfords with some JL 12w6v2's
Get a Multi-CD player

welpers, remind me not to trust a back-woods car stereo shop from GA anymore.....

HU: Eclipse CD 3434
Fronts: infiniti (soon to be eclipse)
Rears: see "fronts"
Amp: Rockford Fosgate Power 501bd
Sub: Pioneer Premier WS2000SPL 12"

Now....having the car metered on an IASCA approved and inspected mic, my db level dropped to a more believable 127db with the Fosgate that I used to have, and 129 with the Pioneer. though I must say, the sound quality of the Pioneer (I listen to mostly metal and hard rock) is far better than that old HX2 that I used to have in my trunk. Now if I could just find a damned Punch Bass controller module, I'd be a happy camper. Anyone got an extra one sitting around?

As aome of you have seen I have done a little work to my 99 SE. Now that I have my hands on an SHO let the fum begin!!! :hail:

To start with I have...
Pioneer DVD player DVH-P5000MP
http://www.pioneer-america.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4023_35408,00.html

(Two) Pioneer 6.5" Widescreen LCD Display AVD-W6200
http://www.pioneer-america.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4025_38315,00.html

I am going for SQ not SPL on this one. I don't want all the weight in my trunk to hold me down. That is what my system in doing to my 2.5L Contour

Now for what I am getting soon.

(Two sets) Pioneer 6 ½" REV Component Speaker TS-C160R
http://www.pioneer-america.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4067_35027,00.html

Pioneer Premier 4-Channel Power Amplifier GM-6150F
http://www.pioneer-america.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_183982244_152869105,00.html

Pioneer Digital Equalizer DEQ-7600
http://www.pioneer-america.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4053_32879,00.html

Pioneer Premier 10" Component Subwoofer TS-W106C/DVC
http://www.pioneer-america.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4061_153020676,00.html

Pioneer Premier Mono Power Amplifier GM-7150M
http://www.pioneer-america.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_183982244_152869076,00.html

I am the kinda guy who likes to run with one brand. I did the mix and match system before and I just like the way it looks when you open up my car and everythings says Kenwood (in my 99 SE). So I running this one all Pioneer.

this will only run me about $800 for the stuff I don't have
