While I have many projects up in the air due to lack of space (and weather) to do them I have turned to trying to give more options to the community for intercoolers! I'm currently in the process of researching a dual feed FMIC (2 in 1 out) and SMICs which would be tucked behind where the marker lights would normally go. I haven't pulled the trigger on either set up but was looking for some community feedback into which option (if either) anyone would be interested in. I will be trying to make these as pain free to install as possible and try to make a better install guide this time around with more pictures.

What ones are you looking at? I definitely need to change out my IC no if ands or buts. I was thinking about researching a 2 in 1 out design. Hopefully I’ll get a custom crash bar from @Jordan_R soon, that will open up a lot of space for me.

To be honest I think you might has an easier time fitting the 2 to 1 cooler than I will once you have that bar but here is the 2-1 cooler i was looking at

And the SMIC i was looking at is a 750hp set for the 300z that would be almost a perfect fit

EDIT: The 2 to 1 I picked was for a specific size for how much space we have available, there is a larger 2-1 cooler that is like 3 inchs wider and about 4 inchs taller, it's also about $300 more.

Nothing wrong with mine at all! Just trying to open doors for those that may want better performance but want a different route to get there. The 2-1 IC will still be mounted up high for me thought it could certainly be mounted for the lower grill as well. But I'm also interested in the SMIC set up for those looking for performance gains but just wanting a different look. I toyed with the idea of running the SMIC with the 2-1 set up just because it will literally all pipe the same and will end up right next to one another but that might be a bit much in terms of weight. Although a plus would be extra weight in front of the front wheels for traction I suppose if you had to add weight. I saw a really sick tri-cooler set up on a 300z which is what got me thinking.

Mine can fluctuate 2-10 degrees above ambient on a full pass. After about 60 mph it can start to creep back up in temp....and the second I let off.... It drops temps again. I’m getting heat soak.

Prior I was seeing the same drop to around 10 degrees below ambient with the GH IC...but it would stay there...and the temps would raise when I let off.

So with mine, I get cooler average temps, same drop in temps...but it’s not sustained and slowly rises. And temps drop when I let off...flow issue? So I’m not going to get rid of my front mount setup...just going to get a different intercooler.

2-10 degrees above ambient overall isn’t horrible....but I’m not satisfied with that.

Ahhh gotcha, well since you're going to get Jordan's custom crash bar maybe you can do an IC as big as @skyshadow07 setup and put speed holes in your front bumper too!

I’m getting a new bumper and my chin spoiler fixed so the thought of putting holes in it, at least right now doesn’t sound like something I want to do but anything is possible
