are these harder to work on than normal? I have only had 1 turbo car (volvo) and at least the turbo on it was on top. I usually do all my maintenance .

what should I be looking for ? I got my eye on a 2010 with 130K for less than $7k . looks decent and all stock from what I can tell. not sure yet I want to buy it cause its silver and thats my least favorite color lol...

well ... the rear turbo / bank 1 is the harder one to reach. estimated shop labor is 6-8 hours. front one is 2 hours.

if you have to do timing work/water pump, that is approx 14 hours book time.

steering rack has always been a time consuming job no matter the model or year.

if 1 fuel injector goes, might as well get all 6. exhaustive procedure but if you follow step by step, you can do it. the injectors are in the head, so more difficult than a PFI engine.

the rest is not so bad. takes a bit of effort to service the ptu, but still not bad. re[;acement can be a 4-6 hr job.

where the unexpected happens of course is when rust sets in. makes brakes and hubs difficult to service, for example.
