Hi everyone, I’m new here and looking for some help. I have 16 SHO non pp. recently I had a growling coming from the front end of which I figured out was the PTU. And as my luck would have it yesterday driving home from work it made a bad pop sound and now it is grinding bad and sounds terrible but the car still moves. So I’m here looking for help in finding the part number for my PTU so I can just get a new one. Any help is appreciated.

I got this from Tasca. I think it is correct

DG1Z-7251-F

make sure that is correct. Might be a difference with or without turbo or with or without PP cooling

Make sure to check around at different dealerships to see if it is covered under warranty. Ford had extended the coverage for the PTU’s because they know what a problem they are.

Depending on your mileage and service history, it’s worth checking because it will save you a whole of trouble and cash if it’s covered.

Ford extended the PTU coverage? What kind of info can you give about that?
