I can't respond to a question that was never asked. :)

I'm happy to do a group buy but you guys got to tell me when you can do it and how many parties are interested.

Don't you think you should be doing the leg work, if you want to offer a group buy? Mikey, your the one that should be asking the questions. You wanted people to approach you about a group buy and now you want everyone to tell you when they can do it and how many people are interested when you havent even done anything? I mean people around here are probally interested, but without a price not too many people are going to jump at your approach. :corn:

Bryan,

1. Keep your business where it belongs. You have no business questioning me. If that means I lose a sale from you, so be it, but I don't owe you an explanation on how I do things. Since the question was brought up however...

2. I was never asked to start a group buy on the Konis. I saw two posts asking if anyone would be interested in getting them from some other place and I mentioned that perhaps they would ask a SHO vendor. At that point it was up to them and they never asked so I let it drop and assumed they wanted to use the other company, which is fine. I asked when everyone would be able to do it because there would be no point in starting a group buy if no one has money right now.

The pricing would be $530 for 4 inserts. We would need 5 people to get that price however.

Mike, my business is where it belongs.

Your the one that started this by saying: "If you guys want a group buy, why don't you approach a SHO vendor. wink"

I would buy from another SHO vendor in a hearbeat, depending on the price they had to offer, even from you if the price was right. :)

You also stated the following: "I'm happy to do a group buy but you guys got to tell me when you can do it and how many parties are interested." Obviosly there are people interested here, I also am included. People are not going to tell you when they can do it, and how many people are interested until they hear a price. Others here have done alot of leg work to get the prices here and it all to help each other.

There are too many people around wanting to make a quick buck instead of helping others. One hand washes the other..........Thats how it should be....

And Mikey, that is a good price thanks for checking into it. If I can scrape some cash up I might be interested.

half-way there, I think.
Christ, keep the ******* personal crap out of this forum. I'm so sick of this ****. All Mikey said, "If you guys want a group buy, why don't you approach a SHO vendor. wink We don't bite. Well... I do, but most of my competitors don't." He plugged all of the vendors, not just himself and nobody asked him for a price and how many people would be required until I did. So that remark was not called for and personally I would have been ****** if he just waltzed in and threw his numbers in without being asked.

"There are too many people around wanting to make a quick buck instead of helping others. One hand washes the other..........Thats how it should be...."

What the **** is that supposed to mean? My business doesn't have a Non-Profit Organization License hanging up on the ******* wall. Everybody that's in business has a right to make profit. I don't think to many people in the SHO business are living the lap of luxury, this is a small market and they don't move inventory like the big companies do. Personally I'd rather spend a few more dollars to keep the SHO specific vendors in business, as they actually cater to us. Try and call summit and asking about a product for a SHO, you'll get a "Huh?"

Bryan, not to many people can get me ****** off, but you're one of them. Shut the **** up and sit **** down.

Rant off.

I dunno terry, I agree with bryan. If mike wants to start a group buy its up to him. Youve seen the way this works. you give us a price and people commit depending on whether or not they can afford it / justify it.

I dunno what your buisness is, but aftermarket car parts is a luxury. and people only buy depending on what fun money they have. and in this day and age, thats not alot. Thats one of the reasons id support one of the people who put money back in or are a good person. Like mike is. But if he doesnt have a price and someone else has a good one. Im not gonna call him out of the blue and ask him if he wants to look into it.

If he wants to offer a product get us a price and we will do with that what we can.

Mike, you know what sells on these cars, do one piece at a time and research and offer a price. hopefully you make some money, people get parts.. we are all happy.

But we shouldnt have to ask you for a product.

Ok, well i understand bothsides. But heres my dealer/vendor view.

If mikey came on pushing his parts saying "hey I'll do a group buy" then some people would be like oh hes just trying ot make a buck off us.

Well he didn't because that would ruin his name. The poor guy is going out of the SHO business soon, now I can see why.
.
Bryan, I understand why you thought what you though but I think calling him out was unneccessary.

Terry, I also can understand why you got upset as well, but i don't think resorting to name calling was cool..

I am friends with all of you, eric, bryan, mikey, terry and I don't think we need to go any further with this argument.

Lets lock this thread and start a new one in the classifieds section for a group buy. Sound good to you all?

Ok, I know this is going to be locked and If I had the capabilites in this forum I would have done it myself.

This kind of behavior should not be tolerated. This by any means was nothing personal, why do you think it was? It is all about getting a good price for a Koni group buy.

Terry, you would have been ****** if Mike waltzed in here and gave a better price after calling around and doing what he could to help others out? :bs: I bet if you were or are in the market for Koni's and Mike came up with a price cheaper than someone else you would buy from him, cause I know I would. There was NO other vendor on this thread offering a price for a Koni group buy, so if Mike came here and said he could get them for $530 and another member from the forum said they could get them for $529, I would still buy them from Mike, because he is a SHO vendor.

I personally don't care if your business doesn't have a Non-Profit Organization License hanging up on the ******* wall. Maybe mine does, thats my choice and has nothing to do with you. Everyone that is in business has the right to make a profit, true, but they also have the right to sell a product for whatever price they want.

You are right in saying that there are not too many people out here in the SHO community that are living the lap of luxury, myself included. Thats why people will choose who they want to buy from and what price they want to pay. Personally I also would rather spend a few more dollars to keep the SHO specific vendors in business, because they do help us out in more ways that most people can think.

I apologize to you if I made you mad, and if I did, I really don't care. By NO means should you have told me to shut the **** up and sit **** down. Very immature in my book. This is USA last I knew and I have the right to speak my mind.

Benvie, If Mike came on this thread and stated that if there were enough people interested he would check into seeing what he could get for a price for a group buy, would that be any different? I don't think that him posting in this thread would make it look like he is trying to make a buck off of us.

Personally I do think that we need to help each other out more, instead of ranting and raving about others. This is childish and immature. This is the SHO community and we need to help each other out, these cars are dwindleing down fast and parts are hard to come by.

Now my rant is off and I hope yours is too.....

Now that everybody knows how everyone else feels, this topic is going to get cleaned... Hope everyone had their fun.

I'm leaving this topic open so that those interested in a group buy do not have to reorganize it completely... but lets keep the bickering out of it.

I would disagree, Group buys are not started at the Vendor level. It takes one of us to ask the question "Would you be interested in doing a Group Buy on such and such?" The first move is not always visible, genereally it's done off forum, via direct contact with the vendor. After some sort of agreement, then it's posted in a public forum.

No Doubt, I would help in any way I could. Seems that others here have allready done most of the work and gotten some great prices. I honestly don't have the time to get involved after working over 16 hours a day. If someone needs or wants me to make a few phone calls or whatever is needed to get the ball rolling on this, just contact me and I'll see what I can do.
