Hey yall, I'm thinking about fabbing up a stainless steel fan shroud. Well, I don't know if you'd call it a fan shroud, but it's the black piece in the engine compartment with all the stickers on it. (ie. accessory belt info, emissions info... etc..) I was thinking of having a stainless steel one made to replace my cracked and broken black plastic one, and I was just wondering if this is something people would be interested in?? I'm not taking names or anything, just seeing if there'd be an interest in this. If there is, I'll be going out around June looking for some prices on getting this done. I think this would look great in the engine compartment, especially if you already have some chrome stuff in there. But anyways folks, let me know if anybody's interested, and if I get a lot of positive feedback on this, I'll post it in the classifieds section with prices.

Well, as long as I'm not the only one interested, I'll go check it out. I'll let yall know sometime this week if I've found someone that can do it. I'm leaving for Cali from the 1st-14th, so I may have to continue when I get back. I'll keep you guys posted.

I figured i`d give people an idea of what it can look like for you, although mine is obviously polished aluminum. It`s actually cut to fit into hte "insert" of the plastic shroud, and uses the already existing holes for mounting. All the stickers are still underneath.Something like that may be easier to cut that a whole new piece because of mounting tabs.

I'd rather not do the inserts. I'd rather just get a whole new shroud made because a lot of us have cracked ones. Anyways, I'll look into this sometime this week and I'll let yall know.

Ok, I gave my plastic shroud to a machine shop so they could measure it, and since he doesn't carry stainless steel, he's going to call around and get prices on the metal. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town for the next 2 weeks, and he said he won't be able to get back to me until Monday. But after june 14th, I'll let yall know what's up with this.
