I was cleaning my intake a week ago and when I pulled off the intake manifold I noticed that cylinder port 3 was cleaner than the others. It almost seems like the injector is leaking and dripping down the port to make it cleaner? Has anyone seem this before? All the other ports had uniform layer of carbon build up, but this one had a clean area where it looked like gas was flowing down the side of the port. When I assembled the intake and started the car, that particular injector seemed to have more noise to it. I know the injectors make a clicking noise but was wondering if this is a future potential problem? Car seems to run fine. Any thoughts?

Run some type of injector/fuel system treatment.

I would recomend either Lucas or Redline. Lucas also has a Octane booster that works very well too. I picked it up FOR the injectors, not as an octane booster(just FYI). All three work very well, whichever you choose.
Also, before you you run one of the above, throw in a new fuel filter.

I just changed the fuel filter. I don't seem why only one would be clogged. I should have took a picture, but this looks like a steady flow almost like a seal is leaking. I will try the lucas and ill prolly put some seafoam in the gas. My car seams kinda hard to start, but i think thats because the CPS is going bad.

Do that at your own risk.... I don't think I would ever mix fuel additives (aside from trace amounts left from the last time). But that's IMO.

IMHO, I would just stick to the Lucas.

the lucas upper cylinder cleaner and fuel system cleaner is great, but if you are having a problem with an injector you should probably just splurge and get a new one, or if somehow you can get wires to your injector wire test it with a multimeter or a time light. some way to see how its firing. if the signal your computer is sending it is telling it to fire at the wrong time then that could probably be bad. do you think its running rich in that one cylinder?

The cap is probably just rotated on that one.

Use a screwdriver to listen to all the injectors and if it really is louder, it might be bad.

it seems like a couple of them are louder than others. I don't see the point of changing them unless they effect the performance. Does the CEL come on when one goes bad?
