ok....my positive cable is now undergoing a transformation into a white powdery material..i haven`t found an answer fo this..ever after listening to: 'coast to coast am'...
Do I do the autozone replacement?
and how difficult to accomplish
I would really like to remedy this b-4 I walk out to white powder car!!
please help me fight the corrosion aliens b-4 it`s too late
please advise b-4 its tooooo late.............

If thats happening your battery is most likely leaking, If you try a search there should be a post with my user name stating the correct cable lengths. There not too hard to replace either.

They might be too short and pulling on the battery post at times causing the post to leak. Or you could also have added too much water to the battery. Better to run it lower, as long as you are above the plates you are good.

Your battery is "out-gassing" due to a leaky seal at the positive post. The vapors are extremely corrosive.

FWIW if you want to make your own cables get the marine grade wire. It is tinned and will resist corrosion.
