Popping sound !!!!!!!!!

Well im geting a popping sound when hit the gas from a stand,it sounds like its chocking,i changed the plugs about 2 months ago but since then ive drivin it hard,could my plugs go foul so soon,also i put a k&n filter,the sound is coming from the drivers side towerds the front.Also how much is it to replace a clutch for my 89 sho,im going to needing it soon.

don't know about the popping sound, but the clutch will be expensive. at least $700 you may be able to find a place that will do it for you for farely cheap if you supply the parts (recomended) i would spring for the throwout bearing upgrade as they are usualy the cause of clutch problems in these cars. you can also buy a video on how to do the work yourself (and really save money) from www.shonutperformance.com

what kind of plugs are you using?.....and is there oil in your plugs wells? the SHO motor needs the motorcraft agsp32pp plugs.

I had the same problem on my 89, I cleared the keep alive mem. and reset the idle program and it fixed the problem, you may want to clean your MAF and IAB/IAC also.
