I've noticed the past couple of days some of the banners at the top dont say the vendor they should and I've gotten a couple of pop up ads from the site.

Did something change, or do I need to do something with my computer?

On a more serious (and perhaps helpful) note, I would highly recommend getting Firefox (latest version is 3.5.3) and Adblock Plus. I also use TACO (Targeted Advertising Cookie Opt-out). With these three things I haven't seen a pop-up in... almost years. FWIW, 0 of 83 items on this page are blocked.

i have zero issues with internet explorer, and i keep hearing from lots of people having issues with firefox. I see no point.

I do think my computer has some adware or something that I need to get rid of regardless, just haven't taken the time.

Something hijacked Firefox.

Malwarebyte's AntiMalware is a good start.
