Polos Anyone?

When I saw that tee that Roadboss had, I thought of making some polos with an embroidered design... a girl I know works for a marketing company that does that. I used the SHO badge on the trunk and made the design. The setup cost for the design was only $25. The embroidery would be $6. I haven't heard from her what the polos cost and what colors they have. If I could get a bunch of you guys interested, I would order up some in what ever color and size you want. I would only charge postage on top of the cost of the shirt and a buck or two to cover the set up cost, less if there's a lot of interest. I also asked her what other apparel they have available, eg. hats, jackets, etc. Here's the design I sent her. I'm assuming it would be in the three colors, not just the one. Oh, the SHO would be in silver.

This was years ago, even before the new one came out. It was probably the time frame they were making the 2010 and remembered what an SHO really was. I asked about trademark infringement and she said it wouldn't be an issue... hmmmm. Well, I'll be trying to get a hold of someone in marketing at Ford and ask them about it and also if they would send me some print quality files of the logos. :laugh_ti: Ummm, I won't be holding my breath though.

I like that. I could probably see about getting one like that made also! I thought the setup for the design would be around $100, but it's only $25 and it's a one-time charge. I'll probably go ahead and get the SHO EcoBoost one made up and eat the setup cost. I said I would only add $1 to the cost of the shirt and the embroidery cost of $6. I haven't heard back yet how much the shirts are and what colors are available.

Looks like the shirts are a no go. I heard back from Ford, they license their trademarks to Acme Apparel Group, I think the CEO is Wile E. Coyote. Seriously, I'd have to go through them to get them made and the minimum order is 36. There doesn't appear to be enough people interested to order that many.

I'll get a quote. They have 5 different styles of polos ranging from $18-$27. I imagine design setup, embroidery, shipping is all extra. Here's a link to the different shirts http://www.yourfordclub.com/mensapparel.html They have hats, mugs, etc. also.

I just talked to Acme Apparel about getting a price quote on some polos. I'll get a quote on an $18 polo and one for $22.50. I could only get a mix of two colors, so I chose black and white. I also sent him the design from SilverThunder's shirt that he posted to see if that is one of theirs. Like I mentioned before, I'll need to get a lot more people that will definitely buy one to get these since the minimum order is 36. I'm not making any money off this, they'll go for what I paid for them and what it costs me to mail them out. Below are the designs I sent them. The EcoBoost one shouldn't be an issue since they are licensed by Ford. The 2nd one, I don't know if they can make that one since I don't know who owns it.
