josh how did you make that emblem i tried with CF vinyl and it doesnt look as good.

I used CF vinyl as well... just cut out a piece bigger than the badge and put a razor blade in the little crease between the chrome and the blue. I had to do it a couple times to get the effect that I wanted.

K here is my FIRST home made grill. i thought it looks alright but since i have made a newer one that is almost EXACTLY the same specs as a real one without the depth and without the cost. This is what i start off with... 4 SLO grills (hte fourth one is made up into the grill already but was white and had really bad paint on it.)

Here is another of the second white grill

Closeup of paint and my home made "YAMAHA" badge

(I just printed it out after editing its size in microsoft word, then poped off the hard plastic, peeled/sanded/scraped the blue ford emblem off and that took a little while as it is etched in, then i used clear silicone to fill the etched "FORD" letters in and stuck it all together. if you look close you can see the ford letters still but this is only my trial one.)

My loot from picknpull courtasy of the countours with the duratech. :woot:

Closeup of paint (Duplicolor "Black cc" with the duplicolor sandable black primer and duplicolor clearcoat)

I also have the duplicolor "Electric currant red cc" and i test sprayed it on the back of one grill and it is extreamly metalic, i can see the flakes moving when i spray it lol, it looks nothing like my paint. what was my paint called again? its a red 1989 i think it was elec curr red... w/e let me know what you guys think!

Do you still have those specs? I am currently working on one of my own, but with the depth.:naughty: I think I have the measurements pretty close, but the slot height is stumping me.

Thanks

I know that the paint that I got when I painted the grille and spoiler, was right from the paint code on the door, and when I got the can, it said Electric Currant Red

as for the paint, i will post a pic of what the duplicolor looks like, it looks nothing like that 91 plus that was posted... mind you it very well could have been dulled down after being around for 18 years lol...

That IS an actual police grille. Since there were NEVER any genII SHOs that were police edition cars, you'll have to settle for this one. As for beat to shit cut up cars, I'm in the process of trying out some fiberglass stuff on my bumper and repainting the front end, so no offence taken, thanks.
