So, I put on the police grille this morning on the 91. I kind of like it with the mocha & black trim, having the grille black. Opinions? Paint Mocha, leave unfinished, paint black?

Remember that this car is technically the winter car, and is also kinda-sorta up for sale, as-is, or back to stock depending on offering price.

Off-site photo, size is 310k (desktop-size photo).

Oh, and Jason Mansfield (nice guy that he is), has said I can borrow his new anthractie Rim2000s to put on Monique for some pics. When I get them, I'll post them.

Thanks for the feedback!

Fred,
I think that you should paint it Mocha. It just doesn't look right with that different of colors.
Just my opinion though.

Here is mine.

Personally I think it would look MUCH better if you painted it Mocha. It just matches...when its different colors it looks like you had a repair done and, no mocha color was available.

I guess it depends on how serious you are about selling it. If it looks like you are going to get rid of her, leave it as is. The buyer might not want it and its better to sell unpainted. But I would definately paint it if your keepin her. Which of course you should. thumbs_u

dkautumna, thanks. They are the exact same as you're wheels, must be just the light that makes them look so white.

I'd have it match the color of the car Fred. If it was a mesh grille like the 2k2 Crown Vic P71's, I'd say keep it black, but it just doesn't look finished with it being black.

Leave it BLACK! It's awesome. ESPECIALLY with those rims! It's almost a coin toss w/o those rims, but since they're dark colored rims, they DEFINITELY add enough dark tones to the car to make that grille just look flat out kick ass! thumbs_u

Here's Monique with Jason Mansfield's kick-butt anthracite Rim2000's. Obviously with wheels like this you need decent looking brakes and a lowered front...

What a difference rims make!

The way it is shown in the picture, with the black grille and anthracite rims, is stunning!
I have not seen the pic without the anthracite rims, and I'm not going to.
I want to keep the image of the car in my head with those rims on.
