Hey all! I have a black 2019 Ford Taurus SHO with performance package on its way to California purchased via Vroom. Does anyone know if the Ford police interceptor grille fits the civilian SHO? The parts seller's database says "no," but may be otherwise? Here is the part number: Ford DG1Z-8200-AA. Thanks!

Woohoo! Thanks, SM! Just ordered one. The cool thing about the PI-grille is that I don't have delete the chrome on the factory SHO grille. MY VERY FIRST APPEARANCE-MOD!!!

The police specific grille is flat black where the SHO grille is gloss black, and also a different design. Mounting the grille requires removal of the front bumper cover.

Holy sh*t! It does? Thanks for the head's-up. Any idea what's required to remove the front bumper-cover? Just some screws and body-pins? I already have the PI-grille so I was planning to install it tomorrow when the car arrives. What level of difficulty would you say the bumper-cover removal is (and likelihood of damage in the process)?

Flat-black trim is okay—preferred, even. I plan to vinyl-wrap the car in matte-black.

Yes it does, but if you couple it with putting in the new GH IC, it's the old 2 birds 1 stone thing.

I put the PI on mine, as well as a black part below that has chrome on it too, it is a solid choice!

Post #18 here has a pic:

Edited to add:

here is that part number for the no chrome part below:

Doh! Didn't even think of this until now: Does anyone know the part number for the lower Police Interceptor grille and does it fit the regular SHO? Is this it? Thanks!

I found another PI-grille thread here which had a link to the one below. Is this the PI-grille's matching lower-grille and does it fit our SHOs? Thanks!

This is the lower grille. It probably will not fit as the cutout in the bumper cover is different. Find a front on picture of a PI and compare with yours.

The DG1Z-AA part fits 13-19 Limited, SE, SEL, SHO. I think this is what you want.

The KT4Z-BA part is for a 19-21 Edge ST

The pi lower grille is larger to allow alot of air into their trans cooler mounted under the crash bar. Ive never seen a pi without an extra trans cooler mounted there

Read my post again, this time slowly, there is a link to a picture and I even put the post number so that you can scroll to it.

I believe that part is from the "non-chrome" option not the PI model.
