Which combination of plugs and wires will give me the best bang for my buck? I've heard just the stock plugs work the best. I will post a pic of the plugs I just pulled out. Some are more discolored than others, depending on which cylinder they came from (leaky plug wells).

The stock plugs do work the best in my opinion and are well priced. I think second place goes to Denso, as in Nippondenso, who are rumored to have been the OEM.

Wires are all over the map price-wise. I had a bad experience with a company called Belden, after paying $175.00. Good results were had by Taylor, also about $175.00 and Xact 2964 (sold by Advance Auto) for $49.00.

Have heard Autolite APP3924 (?) work better than the Finewire replacements, no personal experience with them though. Apparently the Finewires are not the correct length, the Autolites are, something to that effect.

the Motorcraft finewire plugs work great for n/a applications. I cannot speak to forced induction. The Motorcraft plugs are the correct length.

The correct length is not so much of an issue any more, as most wire manufacturers have made the boots a little shorter so that if the plug is too tall it does not force the top seal up off the valve cover like the factory ones did.

I have a set of Prosparks off of RockAuto. Cost me $20.00 and run them with NGK copper core plugs. IMO the vast majority of these aftermarket wires are all the same with either Tailor resistor or magnetic cores used in them. So I tend to spend less and still end up with a descent product.

I use Omnispark wires from Oreilly on both my SHOs. No issues yet.
