Plugged PCV system?

There's a good possibility the oil that my SHO makes disappear is coming from the PCV system. The hose connection to the front surge tank is all moist on the ends due to oil saturation from the inside.

I took my valve cover-to-intake hose off, and there was no vacuum or pressure from either end. Is there supposed to be?

I sprayed 2+2 where the hose connects to the intake, and it just flowed right out, as if it were a dead end.

I hope this is my problem!

Yes, there should be.

What is 2+2? I use carb cleaner.

Be sure to check the small orifices in the bottom of the throttle bore bore opening, next to the throttle plate. There are two. They connect to the larger PCV hose that draws vapors from the crank case. And they are prone to plugging as well.

2+2 Gum Cutter is Berkebile Oil company's carb cleaner. A big favorite among my customers at Advance.

The vacuum on the V6 SHO motor is much lower than what is normally found with systems that have a PCV valve. The SHO V6 relies on venturi effects in the throttle body at different locations depending on rpm.
