Advanced has Xact wires for 77 dollars, and a local parts wholesaler has Standard wires for 102. I looked at both of them, and they both look like stock wires and I would like to get the Xact for cheaper, but I dont want them to be bad plugs. Anyone have any experience with either of these brands of wires? Will it hurt me to get the xact fit and save a few bucks? Or will it not be worth it in the long run?
TIA

I've used those wires on my "other vehicles" and they seem to be quite trouble free. For my SHO though, I personally would only use Motorcraft wires but that is only & entirely my personal preference.

Keep in mind that if you do go with Motorcraft wires you can use the sets for MTX cars. They'll fit just fine but will be a bit snugger fitting.

It appears that cost is a concern for you....if so, get the AC Delco wireset. They are available from midwestsho.com for about $50 if I remember right, and a few other online places also have them. I have a set on my '95 ATX, they work great, and appear to be nearly identical to the Motorcraft originals.

For the same price you can get the Taylor Spiro-Pro wires from Summit racing. Or, for even less, get the Delco's from Mike!

My plan was to get the Delco wires from Mikey, but he wont have them in stock until tuesday. I have arrangements to do the work at my friends shop monday night. No body local carries Delco wires, Napa had a brand I forget, for 102 or 112. But, as it is right now, I wont be able to order anything from anywhere, because I probably wont get it by monday. So its either Xact or Standard.

I would order these if you are concerned with price. Heck, even if I wasn't on a budget these wires have been proven to perform better than stock wires.

Taylor Spiro-Pro part number for SHO: TAY-74x68 where x is your choice of 0=black , 2=red , or 6=blue wires.
