Kinda hard to explain. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I think CPS? I just had a new water pump put in and it works great; no more leaks. Since the CPS is a sealed design, it is hard to believe coolant could have damaged it. So here is the story. In the morning, for instance, I start the car(starts fine) and I drive away as I normally would...no problems yet. Drive about five miles then get onto the highway. Cruising at 90 and the engine just plain quits without warning- no lights before dying. I have to coast to a stop. All right...now stopped on the shoulder with cars cruisin by at high speed, my car cranks and cranks but refuses to turn over. The tack needle moves while cranking though. No start for 45 minutes...and this has happened several times in the same trip.(BTW, last time I drove this car, but wanna get it fixed quick.) Okay, try again car starts, so I drive off. Another ten or so miles, same procedure. I found that rolling the car in neutral and trying to start while it's rolling makes the car turn over more quickly. ANY IDEAS? It seems that the problem is progressive with the length of time the car is driven. After it happens once it happens again, and more frequently as time progresses. PLEASE HELP. I am desperate now and open to all opinions and dianoses. Thank you for your time.
