So the car is at 199,000 miles and there are a handful of things I want to remedy, I have the following parts to 'fix' by replacing with good spares I have in the garage: transmission, front mount, swapping to a non-egr intake and exhaust manifold, swapping to a cable shifter (I don't like the rod shifter in the car). I also want to do a 60k and rod bearings...which means I'm pulling the motor. Some may remember I've been having some drivability issues with the car, I still do, but I still need to do the maintenance...and hope that I may find my issue with the engine out of the car. On to the list...

Most parts will be from Advance Auto Parts.

Rod bearings: CB1435P $10.00
Oil pan gasket: OS30636R $25.48
Rear main seal: BS40623 $22.96
Front seal: 16041 $15.99
(or) 710220 $9.44 (unsure which one to get)
Halfshaft seals: unknown
Throwout bearing: unknown
Timing belt: 40248 $39.99
Cam sensor: EL363 $39.48
Crank sensor: CSS17 $59.88
Water pump: 571458 $52.44
Water pump gasket: ES70425 $6.18
Thermostat: 13979 $8.44
Thermostat gasket: unknown
Oil and filter: FLIA and synthetic oil

While it's apart I'll be checking valve shims, the valve seal is still good so I'll hold off on that. I'm not looking to completely rebuild the engine right now, just got through it and fix some of the leaks and do the maintenance.

So, what am I missing??? Thanks:) Mike

I've heard this before...but what exactly is the benefit? My car is simply my daily driver, I don't really pound on it too hard...that's what my Mustang is for:) Also, I'm running an Autozone stock replacement clutch, so nothing serious here. For the $90 or so for a ceramic I think I'll stay with a stock piece as I don't want to be investing too much into this.

I've gone through 2 stock TOB's. They took out the Pressure plate both times, and the disc still had Plenty of life left. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2058584
Scroll down do see the first TOB. These are pics of the second one.Joshworkingoncar004
