OK, I was not yet home when James and Steve arrived in 2 of James's SHOs

I already had one of James's Loan-a-SHOs

Very soon after Goalieman arrived sporting some new killer wheels

James took a look at the "I Got Rust Mobile"

A few days before I went to "Pick & Pull" and got the donor metal for $34.
James did some measuring and some test cuts to find the best "slice" as it were

Plan "A" was to cut a larger piece and use a flanging tool to make the repair but the glue and lack of space called for a butt weld so James went to plan "B"

Steve removed the old metal (I'm not really sure what he was thinking here)

Curt arrived earlier and I began my part, Curt needed a broken sway bar replaced, Aluminum sub-frame bushings installed, sway bar links, other front motor mount, and a replacement left strut.

Goalieman worked on some engine detail

James continued to work on my car.....

James "tacked the new piece in place"

After grinding the welds to test the fit and smoothness, James completed the welding

A thin coat of "plastic" was applied

Shaped

James was just about done while I got some help finishing Curt's car...

Then James primed his work

Many thanks for those who SHO'ed up. Thanks for the food, drink, cooking and labor. Everyone was helping out, it was a really good time..
Got Rust??? Not any more!!! Thanks to all...
