yeah, with that much money in it you want to take care of it. but to reach the full potential of these motors we need a good RWD swap to be pioneered. Maybe even an AWD set up in a 4x4 2nd Gen Ranger...I'm just dreaming but one day we will be out of transmissions...synchros...etc.

one thing tho i dont understand you guys always with the ranger swaps?
i think the best idea here is to replace the trans and drive line not the whole car...
you guys wanna see full potential then you need to find a way to plant the power and a good gear ratio.

i dont undersand why no one hasent done a rwd swap in a SHO yet...
tell me it wouldnt be one of the coolest things to see a big powered SHO roll up with like 700ish whp in a rwd setup or something just smoke rolling out of the rear tires?

Awesome job, guys. Just have a quick question for Ashley:

Why are you making closed loop fuel corrections with the Apexi unit and not the TwEECer? ;)

i dont think the 90 or 85 would post much concern..i hear alot compairing it to the oem y pipe but its largest problem was that it hit the cat at 90. and if you have ever cut one open the honey comb desin and the 90 combined created the problem...not just the 90.

I have had that question in my mind since first meeting Ashley and Paul at the Memphis convention in 2006.

With the right MAF and a well-written transfer function, such a superfluous device shouldn't be needed.

BTW Adam, look for an email from me...

In there defense, after they get it tuned with the Apexi, it runs damn good. There car has been running for awhile on the Apexi with very few problems once it was tuned. And they have been on stock pistons the whole time.

I can't speak for them, but I believe they use the Apexi because of ease of tuning. It is so much more user friendly then the Tweecr.

I don't doubt that Ashley has her reasons, and I certainly don't want anyone to think that I'm trying to publicly embarrass her. I am simply curious to know her reason(s) for taking this approach. If she prefers, she can shoot me a PM to discuss it further. ;)

Adam, you're no fun :)

BTW, if you don't mind, can you PM your phone number? I have it in my old phone of which I have no clue where it is at.

Just to give an update:

The accel 48's are now in the car. I need to get it tuned and one of the pro's from out West is going to be in PA and is going to help me with this. Untuned, going from the bosch universals to the accels, it is running pig rich. So much so that if I go to slow down from 40 to a stoplight, it is stalling out the car. I guess rich is better than lean lol. I can't wait until Tim comes down to help me with tuning, I am really looking forward to learning how to tune my car myself.

I also put the asfb'ings in the car. OMG what a difference do they make. The car is now much more responsive and the ones I took out were totally rusted though. I'm glad I did them before the subframe drop'd out of my car lol.

Just thought I would give you an update. Dyno results should be coming soon. Howver I'm going to keep the new numbers a secret when I go to a 8.5-1 low compressioned forged build with methanol injection.

No, I didn't. That is going to be over the winter or in the case that it would blow up at the certain psi that we are going to tune it at.
