 Ok guys as soon as I have an idea whats going on I will ask for help but PhatSHO goes down again a week after the last problem....It never seems to have little problems, always ones that make it undrivable. when I need it the most. Well here the details....Went out to head to work and put the car in gear to move evrything sounded and appeared fine till I rolled about 10' and it sounded like a normally lubricated parted was out of ****, metal grinding sound, no engine indication problems or warning lights, or previous sounds the previous night and all the sounds are coming from what sounds like the drivers side front its intermittent so far. The car just had the fuel filter and fuel pump replaced both brand new and just in the first part of july I had a 3 point cleaning and carbon build up because the car would not pass emmissions. I did find that while I was looking around my air filter housing and my throttle body hose and connections were loose and I found a couple of loose screws in the housing under the filter. It doesn't look like I ingested anything passed the throttle body. So can you guys put your brains together and ask me the questions so that I know what more info to tell you and then where to start trying to figure out whats wrong here. The clutch and flywheel is only maybe at the most 3 years old replaced by Mr.Clutch any suggestions you SHO gurus have is always appreciated.

Try looking at your front brakes. If the pads are worn down to the scrape pins, you'll get a terrible sound at low speeds. Can you give us a little better description of the sound and under what conditions it is made?

Re: PhatSHO goes down...

Tom, its a sound like something loose and grinding where it shouldn't be. The sound comes from back near the firewall on the drivers side and it can make the sound a little when it is sitting idle or when the clutch is engaged to move the car a little bit. my clutch has been replaced back in 200-2001 so I'm at a loss on the problem. But I'm off tomorrow during the day so I'm going to try some more investigating. So far car still runs so far. Checked the engine codes and nothing new there, checked the gears and with the clutch pressed in and no sounds and runs fine. The last time it made a sound similiar to this is when my water pump went out. We shall see tomorrow whats up....before I break down and have it towed to goodyear. :headbang:

Later for now,
Virg
