A friend told me that he can get me a phantom grip for my SHO for $233!! I found this kinda hard to believe. Do they really make one for the SHO and is it any good?

You should be able to find pictures of exploded transmissions with Phantom Grip when you search.

at least with a phantom grip, you won't have to worry about a diff pin blowing. the trans won't last long enough...

Wavetrac = ****?

Phantom Grip is a waste of time. I'm always a supporter of DIY, so why pay $240 to wreck your tranny when you can do it for free yourself?

Bad name for the product too... Phantom gives the impression of something that doesn't really exist, not the best name for a LSD.

I did a search and found that it had been argued they were good/bad also found that alot of the treads got deleted. I figured i would try and get a definitive answer. I kinda had the feeling that they were no good judging by the cost. You get what you pay for. I guess its time to start saving up for a wavetrac.

The boy has a good point!

If it helps any, I took you from "is infamous around these parts" to "has a little shameless behavior"!
