Pesky Scat Packs

Not sure how it is in other areas, but there’s an abundance of scat packs where I live. For whatever reason about 75% of the time I see one they ALWAYS try to race me. I’ll just be cruising and they’re in the lane next to me tapping their throttle and lining up. Anyone else run into this? Charger and challenger drivers are just a different breed...

Problem is a stock scat will eat most SHO’s from roll without much effort lol...

Pesky yes but still faster than 90% of the SHO’s from a roll.

If you are stock.........I eat R/T's and SHAT SCATS all day from a dig or a roll.

I have to agree with this, only mopars I have problems with are hellcats from a roll. Otherwise from a dig on the street there isn't much I have problems with, haven't run into any evos or subies that have come around me. I did have a really damn good race against a claimed 700+whp RB powered 240, we were pretty much neck and neck but he was spinning A LOT lol.

Otherwise from a dig on the street there isn't much I have problems with, haven't run into any evos or subies that have come around me. I did have a really damn good race against a claimed 700+whp RB powered 240, we were pretty much neck and neck but he was spinning A LOT lol.

Yep...Hellcats from a roll give me fits, as they should lol. In the past couple of weeks I have whacked a FBO E85 5.0, a FBO pullied down Jag XFR, a FBO E85 Q50s (AWD), and a FBO SS Camaro (LS3, 6 speed, Drag Pack) those are all on my IG. I also whacked a 2010 FBO turbo upgraded E85 335i BMW, and Caddy CTS V (V2) on a drag radial. M has been putting in work lol.

If I'm within 10 car lengths (even behind) of anything, I'm happy with my land yacht.

Had a 'vette from the 90's behind me on an on-ramp, I went into it so fast, the guy didn't have a chance.

Lotsa Scats around Detroit, especially here where I live, 10 miles north of FCA HQ. SRTs, which until this year included the SRT 392 and Hellcats, weren't available for employee A Plan. But Scat Packs were. This year, only Hellcats are SRTs. So, lotsa employees/family /friends get Scat Pack deals.

Stock 8-speed AT Scats are high-mid 12s, DRs drop about a half second. 1320 Scats run high 11s, mostly due to the launch. With any tune or other work, 11s are common.

Now, 6-speed Scats like my Challenger are a different story! I'm hoping to hit the 12s this Saturday!
