Performance Package & RPO codes ?

So I've been shopping for a 2013 or newer SHO with the PP

As I've been finding cars and then doing a VIN search for the RPO info often it lists the phrases

"Less Transmission Cooler"

and

"Less Oil Cooler"

So did Ford build PP SHOs without these items or is the RPO info. not always accurate ??

It's more likely that they are less the radiator built in transmission and oil coolers and the other package adds on auxiliary coolers.

Go by the "SHO Package 1" addition and you'll be good. Also confirm that it has 3.16 gear ratio.

I'm looking for the Alcantara steering wheel first and then I run the VIN if it's got that

All have had the 3.16 final drive

So you think the cooling package is on all the PP SHOS (oil, trans, PTU) but the RPO codes "less ***" is referencing stand alone items like an oil cooler but not the entire PP package ?

Correct! The "SHO Package 1" includes the coolers. They are part of the package. Lines that reference removal of items are removing things, but that package includes the coolers as well as a ton of other items. (20" wheels, alcantara steering wheel, button to disable traction control, 3.16 gears, drilled calipers, different brake pads, etc)

Every PP car that I saw when shopping noted less those two coolers. It's either they are eliminating smaller coolers to include larger ones or those are codes that get added for the Police Interceptor Sedan since they do not get the entire "SHO Package 1." They only get certain items from the package so the other items have to be separately available for build purposes.

You're right, every one I ran the VIN on listed " SHO Package 1 " near the top of the list .
