Went to bjs wholesale club to be some stuff, came out and was walking up to my car.. Saw something that made my stomach turn.. Was hoping it was just a funny reflection from the sun... As I got closer my blood pressure went up for sure.... Some clown ran into my car while it was sitting in the lot, no note... People just plain suck..

See if the business has outdoor CCTV video. If so, advise mgmt. of the incident, & ascertain if a license plate was/is able to be viewed.

If so, have them save video so it can be forwarded to local authorities.

Most businesses, unless notified of an incident, will purge video anywhere in between a 30 to 90 day period.

I see red paint transfer, as well as contact & induced damage just from the image you posted.

There's a chance, with availability of video, to capture at least the vehicle involved.

Good luck and yes, there are people in life, who resemble the very title of your thread. The inconveniences & hassle alone of the repairs involved, certainly does suck.

Yep, thoughtless bastards just don't care....

The words of bpd1151 are spot on. You may have to contact police & file a report though - I had to do that with a similar incident in a WalMart parking lot a few years ago. Chances are good they have multiple views of the gutless perp from several cameras. Hopefully you can nail 'em for the hit & run!

That was the first thing I did... No cameras... Now I am 250$ in the hole for deductible.. Just makes me mad that people do this and take off. Anytime I am involved in an accident, the piece of trash that hit me either has no insurance, underinsured or is nowhere to be found.. Very frustrating for me because I play by the rules..

Real sorry to see this happen, guy. Hope they catch the culprit and make him pay. Definitely going to run into 4 figures for the repair work, I only hope it was a relatively low-impact incident that didn't damage anything under the skin.

Public beheadings when found.......tie their skull to the antenna as a reminder to the others. There are scumbags out there. I had a few years ago, foot slipped off brake, barely scratched the vehicle in front of me. The license plate absorbed all the impact. Being at Costco and it was a company vehicle with phone number I Called right away. Waited around a few minutes for her to come out, no dice. I left voicemail and a couple of days later she returned the call. I explained what happened she looked over damage, said the License plate took the damage, so really it wasn't her problem and said. Thanks for calling and being honest but she wasn't going to make a big deal of it. The only real victim was the license plate.

I feel your pain. Try to take my wife's vehicle when we go shopping. My first trip out of town with my SHO I was pulling into the hotel parking lot and some ding bat pizza delivery person backed out of a parking space and nailed my passenger side door. Turns out her insurance didn't cover her if it was being used for business. Out my deductible too. Now I go out of my way to avoid potential idiots and their stupid driving habits.

Even th0ugh you may have lost on the deductible I would get the information to advise the pizza place that they were delivering, I am sure they would like to know that one of their drivers was not complying with insurance requirements.

Sorry to hear, and see!
Same happened to mine in the Walmart lot 2 years ago. Parked out in the back, and someone scraped my fender. $1100 in damage, and yes, my insurance rates went up due to claim.
