Just my luck; I have the car up for sale and all ready to go, and I get a little too close to the garbage cans pulling into the garage over the weekend and pop the passenger side mirror glass off!
The housing is still intact and the motor works fine, but the front of it has pulled away just slightly from the door frame. I'm hoping I can pop off the interior door panel and tighten it down, but I'm not sure how these mirrors attach since that's one of the few parts of this car I've never touched.
That door panel rattles a little anyway, so I'll replace the retainer clips while I have it off.
Hopefully I can get away with just replacing the mirror glass. Anyone have any experience replacing just the glass? Any suggestions on where to buy a good quality replacement from? Both my mirrors are clear and don't have the blue tint.
If I do have to replace the whole housing, anyone have a used passenger side housing and glass in good shape for me to buy? I could buy new, but I know it would look quite a bit newer than the driver side and probably wouldn't be OEM quality.
Thanks guys!
