I'm also going to paint the valve covers the gold color

Nice. I like it. You should do the lettering on the surge tanks in Black or in the same gold as the runners.

I'm even thinking of doing my wheels in gold.... who knows

I really like gold accents in that tone.. not the bright ass shiney gold plating type shit...
kinda has a early 2000's JDM type style to it

whos platoribs? he got any pics of his intake? damn I thought this was a first!

in all honesty, it took me about 2.5 seconds to figure out this paint scheme standing at Lowe's looking at a lot of paint, I was gonna try some kind of copper vein type shit on the runners, and who knows on the surge tanks but they didn't have the paint I was looking for.... so this scheme was my 3rd alternate

before this I was doing a grey style that looked ok with the black secondaries/couplers... but this really does look nicer, thanks to PlastiKote for changing the paint colors of the 202 universal grey...... I ran out of one can, bought another and it was like 4 shades darker.... I like this silver/gold look A LOT better tho....... the gold is killer!

If I werent so lazy right now I could go take a pic, as its sitting here at the house... :)

I'm so damn lazy tonight I can barely walk outside to go smoke a cigarette, worked on like 10 cars today, so many jobs I forgot what all I did

... FYI when I painted mine.. I just sprayed some into a little cup to do the letters... If you are careful even if you get a little outside, you can wipe it off easily before it dries.

Or another place or thing you could do ... is go to a hobby shop.. they have plenty of different colors, and probally have a nice gold to match. Oh yea.. make sure it is an Enamel too... there are 2 kinds...

LOOKS GREAT!!
I do like the gold! & the diff finish! I hope it holds up well. Maybe that Hammered stuff will be stronger than the Duplicolor truck paint I used on a set of VC's. Looked good for 6 months, but now its 'crazed' a bit & scratched & chipped. Just doesn't hold up to my cleaning!
Mmmm.... I've got a mocha int & that may look good. I have a set of polished VC's so was gunna do polished snakes too but that may be too much work.
