Painting the intake - Prepping etc. ???

Looks good, what paint did you use? For my red I used "Ford Red" I like it alot. Yours looks more of a red orange unless those are just the pics.

i used ford red, i did notice it looked orange with the flash, if u saw it in person it wouldnt look like that, its really bright red....ill try to get a pic without flash...

looks very nice. similar to mine.

I used "Ford Red" on the runners and valve covers and "Gloss Black" on the rest of the intake

ive been goin between black or red valve covers(my whole car has the red/black paint scheme), since my car is red i was thinkin black to change it up a bit, but idk......but red does look good under the hood of a black one....

i just photoshopped it and both look pretty good to me, the red valve covers does look quite nice with the runners tho, and it brightens up the whole underhood. this "ford red" is growing on me.......... :huh:

and ive been wondering for a while, can i get this throttle body cover thing, and where can it be found, and how much$$$, it makes it look cleaner under the hood

i dont exactly have much $ right now for the SHO, gotta sell some things, (ford premier audio system, not jbl (amp doesnt work anymore, so just head unit and speakers), ATX shifter handle, and maybe a 3.2 intake(dont know if i wanna keep it as a spare)..... anyone want one? :thumb: :D ;) i could the valve covers put on while the 120k is gettin done...........

I'm sure you could get that cover fairly cheap... There are some on the forum that just don't like them. No harm in trying. :thumb:

anyone ever painted their TB? i've seen everything else painted accept the TB. or is it too much of a pain to dissassemble and i should just get a TB cover?

The TB is a pain to disassemble. You could try it though, I'd love to have mine painted instead, I just don't have the patience to take it apart.
