Powder coat.
Some people just don't want to spend the money for powder coating... yes, it does look better.. but a good paint job can look good as well.

If you use paint DO NOT use the Autozone so called hi-temp paint.I used it on mine.It looks worse now then it EVER did.The clear turned yellow and now the paint is kind of rubbing off.Like Scott said, powder coat.

ive used the Plasti-Kote brand Engine Enamel. 3 light coats of paint, one light coat of clear and it held up to weather and washing for a year. powdercoating is the way to go, as long as you dont change your mind every year, like i do.

anodizing is oxidizing the aluminum and adding color, it will last a very long time. But if you thought powdercoating was expensive, just look at the prices for anodizing

hypercoat.....I think I saw $250 for just the upper intake......add the valve covers and it's a lot more.....but it looks awesome. They have a lot of pics on their site. I looked the other day and the site worked for me.

Powder coating in my opinion looks the best, New England Custom Coaters is where I brought mine he did a mint job for about $280 I think for the whole intake manifold in red + gold and the cam covers. thumb

AZ POwder Coat did my original intake in Blood Red for about 120.00 I think. The valve covers another 60.00.

Polishing of the intake, throttle body, MAF and valve covers will cost you about 600.00 in AZ.
