I don't think paint will adhere to the wires very well. Especially with the heat cycles that go on under the hood. First time I ever heard that question.

You can always look for colored wire loom I guess. Or maybe shrink tubing, but that would be hard to get in one long piece or shrink smoothly. What color are you looking for? You might be able to return the new ones you bought and find something already in a color you might like.

Yeah, that is the first time I have ever heard that question... :nut:

But, FWIW, they do sell colored wire sets for our cars. Of the top of my head, I know they have Black,Blue,Red, and Grey. And as stated you can always run wire loom around them.. they make loom in just about any color....

if that floats your boat....

I seen the taylor wires and some others. After reading all the reviews about seals, length, etc. I went with the stock Motorcraft Wires ($147.99 w/ shipping!). This way I know im sure they'll fit. Im doing my front 60k and was just trying to spruce the engine up a bit.

PS Im looking for red.

yeah its not worth it, just paint something metal like your manifold or valve covers if you want to change the color scheme of your engine.

Not sure why anyone would want to do it, but... If it were me and I had to color my wires, I'd find long shrink wrap, cut it to fit, then take a heat gun to it.

Mallory makes a really cool heat resistant cover called Pro Shield (this is a link to Summit). I've used it in the past and it looks and workes great. The covering has a ceramic weave impregnated in the silicon, and that shields the wires from grounding sources under the hood. It was originally designed for Top Fuel Dragsters with their ignitions putting out unobtanium amounts of voltage. Its worth a look.
