Okay, so I've had this problem, the Mass Air Flow readings are inconsistent with the TPS voltage readins - P1121. Well, I've replaced both the TPS and MAF and yielded no results. I have put the tune back on OEM AWL1 and it still didn't work (I thought it did before but after a quick 10 minute drive it came back).

So, I'm stuck, I have no idea on what it could be now.. any ideas?

Symptoms are it will stall out after coming to a stop, stumble and stall while just sitting in park or drive, seems like it has a rough idle but all the coils have been replaced.

No, no vacuum leaks.

I did just start receiving P1132 and P1157 now too.. not sure what that means though.

my thoughts

1132: bank 1, cyl 1 overly lean

1157: O2 sensor response to 1132

1121: TPS not set correctly. This appears to be the problem to fix first.

Then reset PCM correctly to clear the codes. (after fix, must clear keep alive RAM, idle engine 15 minutes, drive for awhile - maybe 1/2 hour, to allow PCM to reset)

You have what is called a "rationality" error. The information the PCM is getting from its various sensors isn't making any sense.

Presuming that you have truly verified that there is no un-metered air getting into the engine, then the main components that can cause such an error are a failed TPS, MAF, O2 sensor, or PCM. Based on your lean code I'd either bet a failed O2 or un-metered air getting into the engine. A bad injector or low fuel pressure are outside possibilities as well.

Can someone take a look at the two data logs in the link below? The first one is me starting up my car and it dying by itself after no run once so ever.

The second is from my driving it around and then dying at a stop light.

Thanks for any help!

Data logs:

i didnt look at the data logs but it sounds like what my car use to do a long time ago.. cant remember is the code was right but the meanin sound the same...

my issue was #8 coil makes some kind of resistant deal on the mafs circuit or something
READ THIS WILL TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT

Yeah, it's definitely not that bad, but something to that degree does happen sometimes when I'm on the highway.. when it does happen on the highway it feels like it's always in that 'lower gear' in the transmission to slow down faster and will not ever 'snap out of it' until you stop and turn off the car (and by stop I mean it will stall out when you start slowing down, lmao..)

I will try swapping coils #5 with #8 and see if I have a change.

i noticed you also said you have newer coils maybe try an old coil if you still have them.

Yeah, actually funny you mention that. I swapped out #5 with #8 and it is all better (still have a miss), so I replaced #5 with an old coil and it works good now.

Well I've known about that problem for a while, but I didn't think it could be it considering how new all my front bank of coils were.. but I guess you can always get shit ones.

I'm guessing they were the chinese ones and not Motorcraft. Only making mental notes of those aftermarket failures. I had several fail and am wondering if that is as common as what I experienced.

Well I made sure not to buy from China as I've had a few crap out early. The place I bought them from said they manufacture in US, but who knows.
