Does anyone have a pic or a diagram of the routing for the 2 low pressure hoses (that go to the cooler)? I don't think they've ever been changed in my '91+ and I sprung a bad leak in both of them saturday night. Shop told me they can't even look at it till wednesday, but I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I just lose the route of where they go when they come from the cooler and go around the back of the motor.

over bellhousing, under throttle body - 1 to pump, 1 to rack.

Sweet. thanks for the reply! might try to tackle this tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Just so I know what I'm getting into, the hoses are just held on with regular hose clamps, correct?

yes, I've had them leak at the cooler just because of poor quality clamps, so start with the easy stuff first.

Believe it or not, you'll need about 10 feet of 3/8" hose if you want to replace all of it.

Ruby, the clamps on the cooler were already replaced a few months ago as it was leaking from there.

Rev, I figured while I'm in there I was going to replace it all anyway.

I figure the car is 20 years old, and if I'm gonna replace something, I'll do it right the first time.

Well, guy at the shop kept telling me to bring it back. Then when I do, he doesnt have time. Obviously he doesnt wanna touch it. Gonna tackle this myself tomorrow in the driveway. I see me having no problem with the cooler or the reservoir, but the rack is what might hang me up a bit. Anyone have a pic of the variable assist rack from a 91?

Got it done today with no problems. Also, picked up 24feet of 3/8" p/s hose at pep boys for $23.99. Got enough left over to do this job again! The hose that goes to the rack ends up being mated with a metal hose where it meets the rack. While laying under the car, I cut the rubber hose, then used a 3/8" metal coupler (found it in the air hose aisle), put some clamps on it, and done! no leaks, no noise! Also found that I was leaking oil near the oil filter. Turns out the oil filter was loose about a whole turn. ugh. Thank you guys for the info!
