For a few months now, my outside temperature readings have been kinda off the wall, usually about 5-10 degrees higher compared to those light up signs that tell the time and temperature around town. Where is the sensor for that?

I believe its in front of the rad and AC condenser. Not 100% sure though. If its what i think it is look up from below its easy to notice.

Its the black sensor right behind the ford logo in your grill. Keep in mind after your car has been sitting a while after driving it will be off untill you drive around a bit due to heat soak.

You know, mine use to read kind of high too....the heat soak would really make it rise...but even when the car was moving around alot, the temp. would still read a little high...maybe about 4 degrees....then a few weeks ago, it was about 90 degrees outside, and the temp. read 47 degrees...then it slowly climbed up to about 70 over the course of about an hour...it read low for a couple of weeks...

Now it seems to be right on....whatever happened  back then seems to have put it back into whack....

You sure it isn't reading out in celcius? There is a red wire underneath the dash, under the steering wheel, if it is grounded on anything it will make everythign read out in celcius. So all Canadian cars will have that grounded. My 90's was ground kept switching back and forth because grounding and un-grounding, so check that. :thumb:

I really don't think that the read out was in celcius because then it would have been about 116F (47C) to about 158F (70C). Hot here, but not **** hot.... :) I hadn't washed it nor had it rained...I just happened to press the outside temp. button and it said 47...I was like "WTF?"...it's cool now, everything works as it should....It actually seems like it's more accurate now than before...I dunno..thanks though :salute:

The factory temperature senders are all variable resistors. Any change in the entire sensors wiring resistance will change the value of the sensor reading. You probably had a loose or corroded connection some where.
